Teleflex – Barrigel, Solesta, Deflux
The Task
Barrigel, Solesta and Deflux are NASHA-based injectable products used in three different medical fields: a rectal spacer that protects healthy tissue during prostate cancer radiotherapy, and two bulking agents, one for faecal incontinence, one for vesicoureteral reflux in children.
All three are applied inside the body, where the actual procedure cannot be filmed. Explaining what happens in the tissue after the injection is difficult with static material alone.
The animations show the products and their application step by step, from the anatomy involved to the finished injection. They were produced for sales and are also used at congresses and events.
All three animations follow the same structure: a short introduction to the product and its components, followed by the application step by step.
Barrigel is a spacer that is placed between the prostate and the rectum to protect healthy tissue during radiotherapy for prostate cancer.
